Quelles certifications de sécurité vérifier avant d'acheter un antivol ?

La résistance d'un antivol se lit dans ses certifications. La certification ART est l'une des plus reconnues en France, et la norme SRA constitue un niveau exigeant souvent retenu par les assureurs. D'autres labels comme le niveau Abus (par exemple 10/15), la certification FUB ou Sold Secure Bronze Cycle donnent des repères complémentaires. Tous les antivols ne cumulent pas ces labels. Avant l'achat, vérifiez les certifications affichées par le fabricant et comparez-les avec les exigences de votre contrat d'assurance. Un antivol certifié est une bonne première protection, mais il ne remplace pas une vigilance de chaque instant.

Comment fonctionne l'alarme d'un antivol à alarme ?

En règle générale, l'alarme ne sonne pas en continu. Dès qu'un mouvement ou un choc est détecté, elle se déclenche pendant quelques secondes, puis s'arrête automatiquement si le vélo redevient immobile. En cas de nouvelle vibration, elle se redéclenche immédiatement. Ce fonctionnement intermittent, comparable à celui des antivols Abus à alarme, est conçu pour dissuader sans épuiser la pile ni gêner durablement le voisinage. La durée exacte de sonnerie peut varier selon les modèles ; vérifiez l'autonomie et la sensibilité du capteur dans la fiche technique.

Comment vérifier qu'un antivol s'adapte au diamètre de mon cadre ou de ma tige de selle ?

Mesurez d'abord le diamètre du tube à l'endroit où l'antivol doit être fixé. La fiche technique indique ensuite la plage de serrage acceptée, par exemple 25 à 30 mm sur certains modèles. Si votre tube est plus fin ou plus épais, cherchez un antivol avec un collier réglable ou un adaptateur. La forme du tube compte aussi : un tube profilé ou très épais peut nécessiter un support spécifique. Ces mesures vous aideront à choisir un antivol stable, bien fixé sur votre vélo.
